Dave Racine, Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) director of PR and social media, will be the keynote speaker at a conference sponsored by the University of Wisconsin–Madison chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) on Saturday, March 10 at the Lowell Center in Madison.
The conference, entitled, "1 Computer. Access the World. #Connected," will focus on current best practices with regard to the use of social media in public relations, marketing and advertising programs. Using real-world examples, Racine will open the conference and discuss how to strategically leverage opportunities in today’s fast-paced, information-driven society. In keeping with the conference theme, Racine will speak on “Building Durable Audiences,” with an in-depth and real-world look at social marketing, community management, and how brands can best activate their communities.
Racine is the director of HDC’s public relations and social media practice group. Racine and his team drive new media strategies for HDC clients, turning online conversations into bottom line results.
The afternoon event begins at 12:30 p.m. and is free to all UW-Madison students. There is a $5 charge for non-UW-Madison students and a $10 charge for non-students.
