Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) executives and active lifestyle enthusiasts Tim Dodge and Sara Meaney have advanced to the finals of the 2012 Fittest Execs challenge, an annual award program that seeks to foster corporate wellness efforts in southeastern Wisconsin.
HDC Chief Innovation Officer Dodge advanced in the individual competition for males ages 50+. He enjoys tennis, biking, skiing and running, and recently completed his first half-marathon. Meaney, HDC president of strategy and growth, is a 2011 award winner and once again advanced in the individual category for women ages 35-49. Meaney’s favorite activities include swimming, volleyball, walking and anything that requires getting outside and moving around.
This year’s winners will be announced at a dinner and awards program to be held Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino.
The Fittest Execs program challenges executives and staff members through individual and team competitions. Participants are required to take a biometric screening and complete a fitness questionnaire. In addition, all candidates must complete a five-part fitness test to measure resting heart rate and body fat percentage, as well as a three-minute step test, a sit & reach test, a push-up test, and a hand-grip test. Fitness scores are determined by comparing the results to national fitness norms based on age and gender.
This latest recognition follows on the heels of an announcement earlier this month by Outside magazine, which named Hanson Dodge Creative among the top 30 companies across the U.S. in its 2012 Best Places to Work list.
