In recognition of its innovative work for Koss Corporation on the redesign of its e-commerce website, Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) was recently honored with awards from both the Web Marketing Association and the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
Koss, the leader in innovative stereo headphones since 1958, turned to Hanson Dodge Creative in 2011 to refine its brand. HDC was also charged with translating Koss' updated brand platform into a more engaging customer experience on the company's website. The International WebAward Competition
The 16th International WebAward Competition honored HDC’s work on the Koss site with an Outstanding Website award.
Founded in 1997 by the Web Marketing Association, the WebAward program is the longest running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best websites worldwide. Independent experts serve as judges who review sites in 96 industries using the following criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
International Academy of the Visual Arts W3 Awards
The W3 Awards honor creative excellence in outstanding websites, web advertising, web video and mobile apps. Each year, less than 10% of all entries are selected as Gold Winners in their respective category. HDC was one of two companies recognized as a Gold Winner in the website shopping category for its work with Koss Corporation. Website entries were judged based on creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use.
The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) is a membership-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. The IAVA oversees all judging and provides strategic direction for the W3 Awards judging.
