Sara Meaney, Hanson Dodge Creative president of strategy and growth, will be among three featured guest panelists at an upcoming breakfast discussion sponsored by Express Promotions on Thursday, May 3 at the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee.
Meaney will serve as an expert panelist and speak on the topic, “Social Media: Has It Changed Since You Woke Up?” The other panelists include: Steve B. Goodman, senior vice president of Express Promotions, and Joshua Gimbel, a partner of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. David Marcus, president of Hospitality Democracy, a division of Marcus Investments, will moderate the discussion.
“The social media landscape is changing so rapidly, it’s a challenge for businesses and brands to keep up,” said Meaney. “Those businesses that do know how to establish, grow and maintain their online communities have an unprecedented opportunity to create lasting relationships and add real value to their customers.” Meaney added, “It is essential that businesses get involved with these types of discussions because social media is a digital extension of personal relationships with customers.”
Meaney has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience advising global brands with an expertise in integrated marketing communications and technology. At Hanson Dodge Creative, she oversees the agency’s strategy and business development efforts, with ultimate responsibility for agency growth and client services. In her previous role with HDC, Meaney was responsible for the organizational development, maturity and growth of the social media and public relations practice and its programs, helping clients to make their mark in an increasingly technology-driven world.
