Ken Hanson Among Presenters at Milwaukee’s First Annual Creative Summit

Ken Hanson, founder and CEO of Hanson Dodge Creative, will be among the speakers at Milwaukee’s first annual Creative Summit to be held Friday, Sept. 21 at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD).

The all-day event, sponsored by Creative Alliance Milwaukee, will provide opportunities for collaboration among the city’s most talented designers, architects, executives, photographers, writers, marketers, musicians and artists. The Summit will feature breakout sessions and workshops as well as an interactive trade show.

Hanson will be part of a four-member panel that will discuss how creativity and creative talent make businesses and organizations better and more competitive, and ways a community can attract and retain creative talent. Bob Schwartz, general manager of global deign and user experience for GE Healthcare, will serve as the panel moderator. Other panelists include Reginald Baylor, Artist and Founder of Plaid Tuba, Tom Campbell, Creative Director of QuadCreative and Deanna Tillisch, president and CEO of the United Performing Arts Fund.

Hanson, a gifted designer and critically acclaimed photographer, has dedicated his life to building a more powerful role for designers in a complex and technology-fueled world. He was chosen in 2001 by Graphic Design Magazine as one of the 50 most influential designers in America and was the founding director of the Wisconsin chapter of AIGA, (American Institute of Graphic Arts), the first organization in the state to represent designers nationally. In addition to his love of design, Hanson also has a passion for branding. Combining creativity with technology, he helps clients build sustainable and authentic relationships with their customers.
