Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) has promoted Dave Racine to director of public relations and social media.
Racine joined HDC in 2010 as a public relations and social media strategist. In his new role, he is responsible for overseeing a team of communications experts who drive new media strategies for HDC clients, turning online conversations into bottom line results.
“Dave has been indispensible when it comes to helping our clients navigate the emerging social media landscape,” said Dan Herwig, HDC director of brand experience and digital brand director. “His hands-on experience, combined with his vision of where new social platforms can take clients, makes him a natural choice to lead the practice and grow this very important part of our business.”
Racine, a communications professional for the past 12 years, got his career start handling publicity for a FedEx Championship Auto Racing Team based in Chicago. Since then he has held a variety of agency and public relations positions including account supervisor, strategic planner and social media strategist. An avid active lifestyle enthusiast, Racine regularly participates in cycling races and triathlons. In 2004, he combined his passions for cycling and motor racing when he co-founded and organized the Tour de Road America benefitting the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
