Ragnar Relay Series, the nation’s leader in overnight running relays, today announced it has selected Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) as its agency of record.
Since its founding in 2004, Ragnar has grown to annually host more than 60,000 runners in 15 races across the U.S. The two-day, overnight events challenge teams of up to 12 runners on courses between 180 to 200 miles. Ragnar selected Hanson Dodge Creative based on its expertise and proven success in building robust, integrated branding programs that target the active lifestyle consumer.
"Hanson Dodge understands our audience and our unique offering in the active and running world," said Ragnar Chief Executive Officer Chris Infurchia. "They also bring authentic, tangible, active lifestyle expertise to our brand. We knew they were the right fit when Tim Dodge’s first question was, ‘What race should HDC run?’”
Hanson Dodge Creative will sponsor a team of 12 runners, made up of primarily HDC employees, to run in the Ragnar Relay Tennessee on Nov. 4-5, which begins in Chattanooga and finishes in Nashville. HDC Partner and President Tim Dodge will lead Team “Active Minds” in the 196-mile trek across southern Tennessee.
“An organization like Ragnar creates the perfect intersection of our passions, market expertise and creative skills,” said Dodge. “By helping Ragnar grow participation, we truly will be ‘Making the World More Active’ and that's what we're all about."
Based in Salt Lake City, Ragnar Events, LLC, was co-founded by Dan Hill and Tanner Bell who organized the first Wasatch Back Relay spanning 188 miles from Logan to Park City, UT in 2004. Since then, the Ragnar Relay Series has grown to 15 locations nationwide and is now the largest overnight relay series in the nation. To learn more, visit www.ragnarrelay.com.
