Hanson Dodge Creative Promotes Sally Siegel to Account Director

Sally Siegel Sally Siegel, Account Director
Recently-promoted Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) Account Director Sally Siegel knows what clients want. More importantly, Sally knows how to deliver.

“Sally’s my one-stop shop,” said Dean Gore, Trek Bicycle director of global marketing. “I know that when I talk to Sally, she understands our business well enough that she knows the timeframes sometimes better than I do.”

Trek has retained Hanson Dodge Creative as its agency of record for nearly two decades. As an account supervisor and now an account director, Sally has been Trek’s primary HDC point person for almost half those years. She is also the primary HDC liaison for another long-time HDC client, Wolverine Boots and Apparel.

“With 18 years experience in the advertising, communications and marketing industry, Sally has the high-level branding and communications expertise that our clients demand,” said Mike Stefaniak, HDC vice president of client services. “But she brings more to the table than just that. Sally knows how to deliver results that connect our clients’ brands to the passions of the active lifestyle consumer.“

Client Collaboration & Partnership

A recent case in point – the Trek TV spots that ran during this summer’s Tour de France. The ads, which were translated into seven languages, highlighted the craftsmanship and technology behind Trek’s high-end road bike, the Madone and its bike customization program.

“That project was a great example of pure collaboration with the client which, I believe, is when we’re at our best,” said Sally. “Working together, we took the idea full circle from concept to airing, with everything in between including creative direction, filming, production and editing. We also scored original music.”

A cycling enthusiast herself who regularly trains on one of her three Trek bikes, Sally adds, “It was great to see our work aired during what I consider the pinnacle of cycling – the Tour de France.”

Like many other HDC staff members, Sally brings her clients the added benefit of living the active lifestyle and truly understanding the market.

“I love cycling,” said Sally. “It’s great to come to work every day and work on something you feel passionate about and enjoy. I’m incredibly proud to oversee the Trek account. It’s not only a great company with smart and interesting people, but we really do great work for them. I’m proud of that and the way we’ve been able to help drive the #1 bike brand in the world.”

The Trek Madone campaign is just the latest in a string of successes Sally has experienced since joining HDC in 2003. Because of this strong track record, she was recently promoted to account director. In her new role, Sally continues to serve the needs of her clients and also now manages a team of account supervisors, providing strategic input and maintaining senior-level relationships on these accounts.
