Sara Meaney, Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) president of strategy and growth, will be a featured speaker at the 2012 Communications Conference of American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) to be held March 5-7 in Washington, D.C.
Meaney will present two topics in two different sessions on Tuesday, March 6, at the AASCU headquarters building, 1307 New York Avenue NW. Both topics will address current best practices in social media strategy and execution. Meaney’s 10:30 a.m. (EST) presentation, “Building and Staffing a Strategic Social Media Program,” will detail various components to consider when launching a new effort. Meaney’s second presentation, “Social Media Measurement and ROI,” will begin at 1:15 p.m. (EST) and will discuss the use of metrics to measure return on investment.
“Social media is a relatively new addition to the ongoing communications programs for many organizations, and the management of resources and measurement of results are key to ongoing success,” said Meaney. “It’s my hope that audience members will come away with the edge they need to move forward more powerfully into the complex world of digital marketing.”
Meaney has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience advising global brands with an expertise in integrated marketing communications and technology. At Hanson Dodge Creative, she oversees the agency’s strategy and business development efforts, with ultimate responsibility for agency growth and client services. In her previous role with HDC, Meaney was responsible for the organizational development, maturity and growth of the social media and public relations practice and its programs, helping clients to make their mark in an increasingly technology-driven world.
