Design Firm to Revamp State’s Tourism Site
The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has selected Milwaukee-based Hanson Dodge Creative to oversee the strategic and creative development, maintenance and fulfillment of its tourism Web site. The department has placed a priority on deploying the site as the primary vehicle to attract tourism dollars to the state.
In an open competition, Hanson Dodge Creative was awarded the business based on the revolutionary sites it created for Trek Bicycles and Burton Snowboards, among others. “Hanson Dodge Creative’s response to the RFP reflected deep experience in interactive with strong in-house talent on both the technical and the creative sides,” said Wisconsin Secretary of Tourism Jim Holperin. “Additionally, HD has a successful track record marketing to the active lifestyle consumer and can use that expertise to leverage Wisconsin’s vast outdoor recreation opportunities to that demographic.”
“We will start by bringing to life the essence of this amazing travel and recreational experience that we affectionately call Wisconsin,” said Ken Hanson, HDC senior partner and chief creative officer. “Focusing on this essence, we will tap into the same passion and enthusiasm that defines our work for Trek, Saris and Burton to bring users an experience unparalleled in tourism.”
Work on the site is slated to begin immediately.
