In the automobile industry, competition is fierce—especially online. Working with Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, HDC was tasked with building a web-based customizer that would allow VW fans to build the car of their dreams.

Solution

The VW dream car creator was an engaging and intuitive user interface that let visitors build their dream car in real-time 3D and then experience their car in a personalized video. This hooked more consumers in a very VW experiential way and turned web joy riders into real world buyers.

Results

The new user interface was successful that it was integrated and used for all new VW models and raised the bar for car companies everywhere.
