Outdoor Nation was conceived by the Outdoor Foundation — the non-profit / research arm of the Outdoor Industry Association. It started with a simple idea: motivate the youth of America to get outside. It wasn’t long before they had a handful of ambassadors — young outdoor enthusiasts already smitten with a passion for the outdoors. Then these ambassadors, along with an impressive board of outdoor industry business retailers, manufacturers and service providers, dreamt of a broader mission: let these ambassadors lead the charge to get all youths in the U.S. off the couch and into nature.
