About the Speakers
Mara Lord brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare, higher education, and entrepreneurial ventures in Milwaukee, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Mara joined MCW as Director of Strategic Planning in 2009. In 2011 she became Chief of Staff, and in 2016 she transitioned to her current role as Vice President. Prior to joining MCW she was Executive Director of Community Birth and Health in Seattle, and owned and operated Creative Consulting, a consulting firm focused on strategic planning and business development.

Mike Stefaniak served as Hanson Dodge’s lead strategist on the agency’s multi-year engagement with the Medical College of Wisconsin. His 25 years of experience in strategic marketing and communications includes leading branding or rebranding efforts for more than 100 organizations. Over the course of his career, Mike and his teams have developed successful branding and marketing programs for an array of hospitals and health systems across the U.S.
